Moms make mistakes

Moms make mistakes. I'm sure we're allowed a few from time to time. But sometimes it feels as though everything I do is a mistake. Maybe some of my close friends and family can drop me an email with their opinions on this? I once got our family a sweet puppy. We had him for just a few weeks when I realized that he was a mistake. He drooled too much, he was afraid of everything, lazy, and he was a HE not a she! He also got sick on our carpet too many times. I ended up selling him to another family. Hubby and kids were heartbroken. Now we have a pet ferret. He is so cute and he's pretty sweet most of the time too. He's been with us for a couple of months now. The thing is, his cage is huge, it's in my living room, next to my dining room. He poops every hour or so and it's very smelly, no one wants to eat at the dining room table any more. There's no where else to put him, we're totally crammed here. We have a baby on the way we have to make room for too. I've also read online about ferrets attacking infants and biting off their toes or noses. I'm really feeling like I want to get rid of our pet again. This time he's been around for months, and everyone is pretty attached. Even me, but I'd MUCH rather be without the smell! He also has this habit of tossing his food everywhere on my carpet which is bringing many ants! I think I have something against male animals. I don't know why.
