Nice Gesture

Those who read my other website with my pregnancy journal know how much I've been wanting a gathering, especially one with food, more specifically BBQ! Our Pastor's wife just called me to invite us to their house this Sunday after services for a cookout and swimming. What a nice gesture! Of course it won't be close friends and family, but there will be a few other Church members to get to know better and maybe make some more friends. They live just around the corner from us too. I'm feeling really good about this. As most of you know, I usually wont' answer my phone if I don't recognize the number, unlike my hubby, I HATE talking on the phone to people I am not familiar with. I didn't recognize the number Michelle (Pastor Chris's wife) was calling from this evening, but "something" compelled me to answer the phone anyways. I am glad that I did. Michelle is also the one who does most of the children's services as well. Okay, so I just thought I would share. How cool is that?
