The Way We Roll

What's new?

Well, let's see...

My husband has an audition this coming Saturday to become a regular singer for our church! Cool! We're also expecting some of his uncle's CDs in the mail any time now. His uncle is one of my favorite gospel singers and a great song writer! I'll talk more in depth about that in another post, another time.

I haven't been to church much lately. With my swelling, hand pain, nausea, back & neck spasms, anxiety, etc. etc. etc. I have not been feeling able to sit there for an hour and a half!

I probably felt well enough to go this morning but I had other obligations. The animal hospital was offering discounted vaccinations at the same time we attend church. My new puppy needed her shots and her nails trimmed. I can't trim her nails because of my hand and no place would do it without proof that she has been vaccinated for Rabies. So today she got up-to-date and they said she'll need boosters in 3 weeks, that seems a little strange, but what do I know. She was very good and didn't make the slightest fuss about it. Afterwards I took her to get her nails trimmed and ended up ordering her a bath, brushing, ear cleaning, and nail trim. I don't think I'll bother with that again unless she's really dirty. She looks and smells the same as she did yesterday. At least her nails are trimmed now though. All in all, it ended up costing $56 to get her nails trimmed all because my hand is jacked up!

I got her a cute collar Friday night and we made tags with our address and phone numbers for our pups too.

My Wiggles puppy has been having some serious house-training issues. Apparently it makes more sense to her to pee & poop on my floor and get slapped and put outside and have me mad at her than to just figure some way to let me know that she needs to go out. I'm getting so fed up with it because it hurts my back to bend over to clean up and it's killing my poor hand!

My oldest daughter returned this evening from her biological father's house. I asked her what she ate this weekend and she rambles off: Mc Donald's, Jack in the Box, Wendy's (2x), KFC, Burger King. UGH

We had a lovely weekend together. Well, with the exception of Friday night's first attempt at a lovely dinner, lol. We went to the Macaroni Grill and our busser delivered our order wrong (and it was gross) and our waitress never came back, so we left. Free bread, soup and salad, I guess. We told the manager on the way out. She didn't offer any decent customer service, all she could say after hearing our situation was "Okay, Bye. I'll take care of your table." So we went to Memphis BBQ instead. It was much nicer. Although I had a brisket instead of a steak, and I still want a steak, lol. Saturday night we all went out to the T-Bird lounge, I had a "taco basket", yummy! The taco basket is an "appetizer" off of their menu. It is 3 homemade-style tacos and a side of salsa, so incredibly delicious to a taco fan like myself!

My little one has been having seasonal allergies symptoms. The other day we were driving around and she kept sneezing and she would say "Bless myself!" So cute!

We went to the dollar store and I found candy sticks, which are a lot like candy cigarettes. So I bought some of those, which after my appointment about Gestational Diabetes tomorrow they will probably tell me I can't eat. Waah.

Also, on Saturday, I went to Target and Michael's and got some stuff for Halloween surprises. Perhaps for my daughter to take to school to give to her classmates, I'm not sure. I've got cute little plastic Halloween cups, I made Tootsie Pop ghosts with Tootsie Pops, Kleenex, marker and yarn, and I've also got some really cool Halloween gift bags.

On Saturday, I also went to Lane Bryant and got some bras on sale, some new pajamas, and a new hoodie too. That was fun.

This Sunday we went to my friend's son's 5th Birthday party. It was fun and the food was good. Peter Piper Pizza about 30 miles away, ouch!

My mom has returned from her two week vacation and my aunt sent her back home with some goodies for us. Thank you, my sweet aunt. We are enjoying the gifts and take them with us everywhere, lol. Loads of fun for the whole family and much appreciated!

I'm sure there are more things to update about, it's been so long. However, my husband just got back from visiting his mom in the hospital and I must spend some time with him now!

More later.
