All By Myself

Well I am all alone at the moment. I'm borrowing my mom's laptop so that I have some connection to the outside world. My husband took my mother and children out for the evening. They shouldn't be gone for too long. I guess I could probably find something decent enough on TV at this hour, but whichever. I'll be just as bored either way. I'm really excited about my ultrasound tomorrow morning! It makes me so happy to see my little baby boy! I'm hoping I can get better pictures of him this time too. I would love to have a nice clean shot of his face and another better "money shot". I don't think the ones I got are very good at all especially considering how qualified the technicians are. The pictures, in my opinion, should be much more clear!

My new puppy did something strange tonight. I'm worried about her. She just started yelping in pain and fear for no apparent reason. She kept licking at her private area. I don't know what that was all about. Her private area looks all swollen and huge and my husband thinks she might be pregnant. She also tried to squeeze under the couch to hide. Maybe she is pregnant?? I used to help breed my Maltese and I just don't remember all the details, it's been so long now. I felt down in her tummy and I''m not sure if there's anything moving in there or not. There's nothing close to her vagina, from what I can tell. So I still don't know what she was yelping about, it doesn't appear to be the onset of labor or anything. I don't even know if she's pregnant. She pees a lot, has a runny nose, eats a lot, scratches her eyes a lot, bites at her hips a lot, licks her vagina and belly way too much, her vagina is really large (really, it's gross looking), and she started pooping a lot the past few days, and then this yelping thing. Those are her symptoms. One other thing I was reading is that Foxtail Grass can injure your dog. Perhaps she has been exposed to that before coming to living us. I don't know what the treatment is, all I can find online is that if your dog has some of those symptoms to take them to the vet. So I don't know about that either.

I'm dreading all the many things I have to do tomorrow. I have 4 Doctor's appointments, they start at 10:00 AM and continue on until 3:00 PM. Not fun for someone supposed to be on bed rest. But I am so excited about this U/S at the same time, because I get pictures, yeah! I also get to see how he's measuring! I hope everything is developing well in case something happens and he is forced to make an early appearance. One of the 4 appointments isn't with an actual Doctor, it's with the lab. I have to turn in yet another 24 hour urine sample. So, I will have to wait on the results for this one again. I guess they want to check protein again. They didn't explain why though.

When I was at L&D the other day, they checked my blood/sugar. The goal is to have it under 120 after an hour has passed after eating a meal. Mine was 237. They said that is really high. What I don't understand is if it's so dangerously high, how come I am not being prescribed anything to help lower it?

Oh, and I forgot to mention this before too. One of the other reasons I got sent to L & D is because my urine was showing protein and sugar in high amounts.

I just feel like I don't have any control. If my blood/sugar is so dangerously high, and I've been trying to follow the diabetic diet rules that I am aware of from the handouts, what's going to happen?
