I'm not sure I can say that stranger things have happened to me now.
I saw my Doctor this morning, Dr. Schwartz! He said he now thinks it's very likely I will make it to 32 weeks. Which is just this coming Sunday, November 25th. I asked him if I make to 32 weeks, what does that mean? He said that means that the next big hurdle will be 34 weeks. Basically, besides my headaches and my occasional blood pressure wack-out, we're looking okay. I told him my headaches have become increasingly worse and I am concerned about that. He said to certainly keep them informed about my headaches because that is something they look for. As for this stupid SEVENTH urine collection I am doing today, the results are not going to affect anything at the moment. It will just let them know how quickly this is progressing and if something else happens, they'll use it to measure possible severities. I asked him if we were going to do another ultrasound to check the baby's fluid levels soon and he said that the levels were at 8.5 last time and so they might. He also said they might schedule an ultrasound for next week to measure the baby. Usually they do them 4 weeks apart (the last one was Nov. 5th), he told me, but because we might have to deliver we should know where baby is at in terms of growth. Well December 3rd would be 4 weeks.
I need some Tylenol for my headache bad. I've been waiting here to ask for it because the nurse was supposed to come in at 10AM anyways. At 10AM I'm due for my blood pressure medication and my Pepcid for heartburn. They also need to start the morning's fetal monitoring.
When she pricked my finger to get my blood/sugar reading this morning it bled quite a bit. The Heparin shot is definitely doing strange things to me. For example, I had this little "tag" (wart) on my neck and I rubbed it today and it came right off, cept it's bleeding. When I urinated this morning, I had little drops of blood in the water. They came from the backside. I'm assuming these are normal side affects. I will tell the nurse, but nothing hurts, so I think I'm okay. The only thing that hurts, besides my headache and back, are the injection sites for the Heparin shots. There are little knots under the skin and big bruises where I was shot. You know why they sting so bad? Sodium!
Yeah, well, the nurse has got to come back soon or I'm going to fall asleep again! I can't believe how fatigued I am!
