Johnny's first Doctor's appointment was this morning. He is now 4 lbs. 3 oz. and 17 3/4 inches long with a head circumference of 28 1/2 cm! The Doctor seemed very impressed with him and how alert and strong he is and pleased with his health. We discussed a circumcision and the Doctor said that usually he does it within 1 month from birth, but with preemies you have a longer time frame because they tend to go by their due date rather than their birth date. But then he took a gander under little Johnny's diaper and said "However, he is really good sized. I would have no problem doing a circumcision on him any time." And so, our endowed little man is scheduled for his circumcision and his 1 month well -baby check-up on January 2nd, 2008. The Doctor also said not to worry and that Johnny will be totally numb for the procedure.
