Already Gaining!

I just called the Level III Nursery, NICU. That is where Johnny is. I had to get an update on him, I'm missing so much!

His nurse for the night told me that they took the tubes out of his belly button today.
He's doing well without being under the lights now.
As long as he's still doing well when we visit, we should be able to hold him now!
It will be our first time holding him!
He is also GAINING WEIGHT already!
That is huge!
Of course he lost some first.
He was born weighing 3 lbs 7.1 oz.
Babies typical lose weight their first week, then they begin gaining weight steadily.
I didn't listen too much when they talked about his weight when he was losing, because I didn't want to worry.
BUT tonight his nurse says he has gained some weight and he's weighing 3 lbs. 3.8 oz.
Now, I am listening!!!
