My oldest daughter's first time holding Little John. She's had a bad cough and she's not very good about keeping her hands clean. She's also picked up some animal cruelty behavior from her biological donor's other child and I'm having some trust issues with her with anything living that she feels like she's stronger than, especially our preemie son. Beyond all those things, he is her baby brother and it was breaking her heart to not be able to hold him so I had to let her this evening. She really is so proud to have him. I wish so badly that I could fully trust her with him though. I trust my youngest daughter full-heartedly that she would not purposely harm her baby brother, but she is very supervised with him as well because she's little and there's a lot of things she doesn't know or think about initially. My oldest doesn't know a lot either though, nor does she try to initially think of consequences. These pictures are so cute and she is so happy and so proud to be holding him. I hope she loves him as much as she looks like she does. I'm praying that she's just picked up some weird things from this other kid and that they aren't a part of her own mentally. Regardless I plan to begin taking her a psychologist on a regular basis once I have 2nd vehicle again. Not just about the recent behavior, but for her own piece of mind. She hates her biological donor and his girlfriend and the 9 people that live in their tiny house and all their other friends and family that she is forced to spend time with every week. I can't talk to her about it because the stupid legal system is deciding how my daughter is raised for me. So, I think she needs someone she can talk to about everything, even things she feels like she can't tell me. She thinks maybe a DR can help her in Court when she's old enough that a Judge will listen to what she wants. My advice to her was to just wait until she's 18 and then she doesn't have to get permission or try to force anybody to do anything. Daddy will still be willing to adopt her as an adult, no matter what. She's his daughter and he will never give up on her, like that other guy has SO many times.
Oh yeah and here's pics of how teeny-tiny Johnny looks in his bassinet too.
