Broken Toe>?

I may have broken my toe today. I was changing the kids' bed sheets and pillow cases and as I was leaving their room with my arms full of their sheets and comforters and things, I trampled into a Moon Shoe and felt at least two of my toes crack. It was so painful that I think I went into shock almost instantly. I didn't want to show my pain to my children it was that bad! So I continued on to the laundry room feeling like I was going to pass out because it hurt SO bad and I felt my toes getting wet and I knew there was was going to be blood. I think I was sort of expecting a bone to be poking through the skin somewhere and I wasn't in a big hurry to see what that was going to look like. Well, luckily, that wasn't the case. However, my toenail did rip and two of my toes did crack. I don't know if they're fractured or broken or what, but something is bad with them. My husband said there's no point in going to the ER except for pain meds and oddly enough, it's not worth my time to do that, not with Johnny here and all his neediness for me.

Speaking of Johnny, today someone from the Children's Lung Specialist group or some such place called me to get insurance information to see if he will be covered for his next Synagis vaccine to prevent him from getting RSV. She asked me a few questions and informed me that he probably won't qualify for coverage! WHAT!? He's sick, he's already been approved for one, he's a preemie, low birth weight, still underweight, etc. She asked me how much he weighed and I told her "4 lbs. 12 oz. a few days ago", so she says "Okay, I'm entering 5 lbs. 6 oz." WHAT!? There's NO WAY he weighs that much. I don't get what the heck is going on here!?

My kids' older cousin stopped by today and we had a good time talking and visiting. She's like my age, lol. My husband finally took the non-working TV to the trash today. He also helped me make the bed; I washed all the bedding today (the kids and ours).

I made an appointment for Wed, Jan 30th @ 1 PM with a family practice DR to talk about my health issues. I sent my insurance company an email asking about help losing weight by possible physical therapy or something to make up for all the bed rest and hospitalization.

Wiggles has been sleeping in the girls' room the last few nights and I like it better that way! She has been pretty irritating lately, even though she's super cute! Wiggles is our puppy, for those new readers. Chewy is doing well and has been played with more lately, and Daddy even cleaned out Chewy's cage last night too! Chewy is our hamster, for those new readers.

We went and got some groceries tonight, we suckered in and got the $35 gift card on the $20 co-pay for the prenatal vitamin prescription. We had to get diapers and wipes and personal things and aspirin (to prevent me from getting blood clots). Mom bought some groceries too. I'm glad we did that. Mom always takes the clerks up on their offer to have a bagger help with the groceries! HaHa so some one pushes our cart out to the car and loads it up for us, but does she ever tip?> Nope. I hadn't really thought of that. Is she supposed to? Seems she should. That grocery store also has an online ordering option, you can have all your groceries ready for pick up or home delivered!

My out-of-state sister called me on the way home from the store. She's getting married in October and is planning on coming out here to tie-the-knot! I'm so excited! I can't wait to see her again, it feels like it's been about 3 years now. I think it's only really been 2 or less, but it feels like SO long! Her oldest daughter is still finishing up school, but she's 18 now! I can't believe it! WOW! And her youngest will be getting his driver's license this year! So crazy. So much changes in 2-3 years. I feel so old sometimes. It's funny, you know, 30 used to be "over-the-hill" and now people turn 30 like it's no big deal at all. You're not over-the-hill until your like 60 or something these days.

My oldest daughter felt a bit feverish when I put her to bed tonight, I hope I am awake in the morning to check her before sending her off to school. I might keep her home. I usually try to sleep that time in the morning and let my mom handle her off to the bus in the morning. She was crying at bedtime because they got in trouble for making messes and got their TV unplugged and taken off the shelf and she missed some Disney Channel Movie she wanted to see. Plus her little sister is picking out her pajama party clothes for church next Sunday and she doesn't get to go to church with us next Sunday because of her bio-donor and his Court Order for visits with her against her will and mine. Grr. My youngest is supposed to bring a sleeping bag too, but we don't have any of those.

I'm giving away a few of my littlest girl's outgrown dresses, tights, and shoes. Tomorrow I plan to find more things to give away, hopefully someday I can clean out our closet. I just feel so crammed, every little bit helps. It sucks the kids got so much space-taking stuff for Christmas, but at the same time at least they play with and appreciate their things. All of her stuff is going to one little girl whose mom asked for the stuff I put an offer for in one of my Yahoo Groups. I think it's called recycle(cityname)2 or something. It's sort of like Freecycle only no unreasonable restrictions. I'm also giving her some outgrown Halloween costumes and dress-up Disney Store type stuff. I figure, what goes around comes around. Most of the shoes are practically new from Kmart or Target. She takes such good care of her shoes. I think she dug out one or two pair from the giveaway sack and decided they still fit her. Good thing I didn't specify each pair in my offer, I just said I was offering a free sack full of cute pairs of girls' shoes size 9. Then when the lady I chose emailed me I asked if she wanted anything else I had to give away and she said her daughter is 2 years old and that she'll take anything age appropriate for her.
So cool.
