An Interesting Morning

My oldest daughter (and the rest of us, except for Daddy) overslept this morning. She missed the bus to school by about two hours. She was so determined to get there though, so I got my nephew to give her a ride. She is very thankful.

It's Nevada reading week and there's lots of cool reading stuff going on at school this week. Today is the day she gets to wear the Train Conductor Visor that she bought during school time! Tonight there is an event at school from 6-8 PM that is called "Ride the Reading Train" it's Family Literacy Night. You can "Spin a Prize" for attending and get a "Ticket to Read" No-Homework Pass.

But since her bio-donor decided to take her tonight (he usually chooses Wednesdays), she more than likely won't get to go. I'd really like for her to be able to go though. However, it would probably embarrass me to no end for her to be seen with him anyhow.

And I don't know what kind of crazy stuff is going on over at his house but I've been finding some pretty disturbing drawings in her journal lately. Including one that says to kill with his last name (both kill and his last name are spelled wrong) with him holding out a gun at her and her looking scared. She said that it is her over at his house sad wanting to go home. I hate that she has to go through this. The Courts are so freaking messed up! The system fails too many. Before she went over this last weekend, it was raining. She told me she hopes it stops raining because they all drive stupid, especially "That crazy Grandpa". That would be bio-donors dad, who is an alcoholic as well. He better not be driving under the influence with her with them! All this makes me so crazy and nervous.
