Back To Arizona

It's been a while now since I've been back to Arizona.

Looks like hubby may potentially be needed there by his company for at least 2-3 months, maybe 4 or more. Starting in a few weeks.

This presents both great advantages and potential problems.

If he goes without me I will only get to see him on the weekends. It's about 3 hours away, so he can come home for the weekends if he feels like making the trips.

It's going to put a lot of wear & tear on the vehicle. We both need new (used) vehicles very, very soon.

There is a Board Certified Neurosurgeon between where I would be here and where he would be there. Worth checking out. Even though I have been warned to only trust an elite few of California's Chief Surgeons.

Potential problems are that I need transportation. I can't be left without anything to drive. I have all these DR appointments and such. I won't be able to borrow his Mom's car for that long. I might have to pay to have my groceries delivered though, because I don't think I can carry them and frankly I am getting too fatigued to walk around long enough to shop for groceries these days.

I'm very swollen today. My entire body.

Anyways this Arizona thing means hubby will make more money. It also means the company likes him. If he turned it down, would it look like he's not ready or willing to do what it takes to achieve higher goals?

I can't think of any good reasons for him to turn it down. If anything happens that would make it a good reason for him not be there then I guess we can deal with that when the time comes, if it does. He would be gone most of the summer, including my Birthday and possibly his own, which is also our youngest daughter's Birthday.

We've been apart lots of times for various jobs that he's had to travel for at weeks at a time. So that's not really an issue for us. We both enjoy our independence. That's not to say we don't miss each other when we're apart, we totally do. We still have a "crush" on one another. I know, cute, huh? Ooshy gushy stuff. We also have great trust and faith in one another so there's no quarrels in that department either. Just the realistic concerns.

What really sucks is that the old laptop is messed up and won't even boot, so he may even be without a computer for the entire work week. It's sad to think we can't chat online. We both hate talking on the phone. Well he hates personal calls on the phone; He's rather good on the phone business-wise.

Well if it weren't for the children I could just go with him and it would be a nice little adventure. But maybe one week we'll go stay up there with him if there's enough room. We'll see when the actual offer is presented.

Last night I took my oldest daughter out to lunch and dinner at the Sunset Station Casino "Feast" buffet as her DOTW award for the week. We got there at 4 PM when the dinner buffet started and we ate it as our lunch then hung out there until we were hungry for again for our dinner. The dinner buffet runs from 4 PM to 10 PM. Daddy came to join us for dinner when he got off work. We had a lot of fun. Best of all, it was comps, gift certificates and member rewards. All I had to do was leave a tip :)
The food was delicious.
