Sunday our day was packed with adventure. First we took the children to Church.
Then we went on hunt to get Daddy a haircut. We stopped at a lot of places! First we went to Fashion Day Spa because it was really close. But there wasn't anyone there. The sign on the door said "Open 7 Days a Week By Appointment". Gay.
Next we went to Hats Off Barber Shop, but they were closed on Sundays.
Then we tried Da'Lonnie's Hair & Nail Studio where some gay old man told us we would be waiting 3 hours for a haircut. But there were only 2 customers waiting. Erm, okay.
We then tried Beauty Center where we had to wait for someone to help us and then she started making telephone calls to see if someone could come in to cut his hair! Unbelievable! A Sunday afternoon and we can't find anyone to give a haircut!?
As we were leaving there were a lot of police and fire department vehicles surrounding the Food4Less grocery store. Apparently there was a small fire in the store. Ended up being no dig deal, but they did evacuate the store and take all the necessary precautions.
Finally we ended up at Supercuts where he was taken back right away and she did a really nice job. Daddy looks sharp!
We had to get Daddy some new clothes for work and I needed some new sandals. So we went shopping, we split up because we don't shop well together. It went well. We got a few things we needed at discounted prices, because that is how we roll. :) Then my sweet hubby took me to get a mani/pedi! He took me to a place I had never been before though. I usually go to Solar Nails right across the street. This place is called Nail Spa and OH MY GOSH! were they awesome! I loved it. I kept almost falling asleep though it was so relaxing! I really enjoyed myself though.
(Thank you so much, honey!) I think I might be going there from now on. Plus their prices are better than anywhere else I've been too. I really had such a nice experience there that I am tempted to write to them expressing my pleasure.
We came back home after all that and I brought my youngest daughter with me to hang out for a bit and then we went to the grocery store. At that point my husband began calling me frantically about wanting to go out to dinner with Dave and Katie and how I need to hurry up. Umph! I hate being rushed at grocery shopping, that's the reason I leave him home when I do it, lol.
So, I cut it short, I'll have to go back. So I brought my wee-one home and got the groceries put away and rushed out the door to our next destination (unknown).
It was sort-of a lead-me/ guide-me deal to the restaurant we were to meet them at. All I knew was it was Chinese food, which I wasn't too thrilled about. I am picky when it comes to foreign foods. Very picky! We finally arrive at said destination and I was SO disappointed that I did not have my camera with me when we got there! The restaurant is called FULL HO! I'll tell you what, they had pretty good Chinese food. I was impressed. I ordered the Tender Beef Full Ho. And it was good. Oh yeah I also had some Crab Rangoon for an appetizer which was as good as most places, but about 1/4 of the size. 1/4 of the size of your average "Cream Cheese Wonton" you would get from, say, China Joe's.
There was a carnival going on across the parking lot so afterwards we went over there to see how long they were going to be in town. We might take the kids up there sometime this week if the weather and the children are good. Heh.
CVS Pharmacy was in the same parking lot too, so we walked over there because my mom has been asking us to pick up some special candies that only CVS sells. So we found her special candy and got those for her. It's like a perk for babysitting I guess.
I think that was pretty much it for our Sunday.
