Lots Going On

Thursday I took Big S to the E.N.T. Specialist for her follow-up. The antibiotics aren't helping, she still has fluid in her ears behind her eardrums. He wants to do the surgery to put tubes in her ears. Big "S" is terrified. Her Doc, Dr. Boyers, is going to give her laughing gas for the procedure. I hope I get to stick around for that! :)

I was supposed to call his office the next morning, Friday, to schedule it. I wanted to do some more research first. I also had a 10:30 AM appointment of my own with my GP (General Practitioner) a.k.a PCP (Primary Care Physician) or PCD (Primary Care Doctor), or PC (Primary Care).

The appointment lasted a long time. I had a lot of questions for her, she had a lot of questions for me. She was as disappointed as I was with the ER Doc not having done any x-rays of my back. She got x-rays of my back right away. They are so quick there, I really like that. She said she "Didn't see anything too disturbing on my back x-rays". That means I don't have any fractures. It also sounds like there's something she's not telling me, doesn't it? She is getting me a radiology referral for a Dexa-Scan to check to see if I have Osteoporosis or my risk assessment for it, something like that. She also commented that from what she could see from my x-rays it doesn't look like I have Osteoporosis. So that's good. At this point I just assume everything under the sun is wrong with me. It's like having HIV or something. At least I don't have that!

My Doc's assistant, the one that gets your weight (I'm at 299 lbs. now) and vitals and brings you to your room and then brings you all your check-out stuff, she is doing a research study on Cushing's right now, so she is very interested in what's going with me too.

My Doc prescribed me Pepcid and it is working so much better than the Zantac! She prescribed me a lower dose of Lortab than the ER Doc. However, I have another appointment with her in 1 week, so if the pain hasn't stopped, I can ask for either more pills with a higher dose or a more potent pain killer. She also prescribed me Flexeril for my muscle tightness, unfortunately, so far, they do not seem to be working. Although I am experiencing the side effects- mainly blurry vision.

I went over a few more of my symptoms with her and I think she said I might also have Diverticular Disease.

Big "S" is at the MF's for the weekend and Daddy is home!

Friday night Daddy & I went to Claim Jumper again! This time I had Pot Roast with Mashed Potatoes and Veggies (Carrots). John had Chicken Parmesan and some Alfredo dressed Noodles with Cheese-Garlic Bread. For Appetizers I had my usual Caesar Salad (scrumptious!) and John had some sort of soup. We also ordered Mozzarella sticks, and didn't even eat them all. We brought them home, I think John has eaten them already by now though. Then for dessert we ordered the I De'clair, and of course more than 3/4ths of that came home with us too. It's so HUGE! But SO delicious!

Saturday I stayed in bed most of the day. John went over to G-pa Eric's for a very short visit so Eric could look at something on the truck, or so I was told. John has got to get the air conditioning fixed ASAP, it's WAY too HOT in Lake Havasu, AZ to be without it!

When he got home I had only made enough dinner for my Mom, Lil S, and I. I thought John was going to be gone longer so I figured he'd be eating with Eric or grab something to eat. So when he called I explained that to him and so he got himself some Panda Express for dinner. We had some small steaks, potatoes, macaroni noodles with cheese, and a green bean casserole. Big S will be happy to have the left overs, especially the green bean casserole. She's also asking me to make that or chicken burritos, but I think she means Chicken Fajitas.

My Mom (Gramma Diana) wanted to go out to her local bar she likes, and Lil J was fussing and Gramma was complaining, so John took her up to the bar and dropped her off. He also went to Smith's for me (He prefers Albertson's) and exchanged our bread. The package said best if sold by 4/18 which was yesterday (at the time) and it already had mold on it!

I put Lil S and Lil J to bed while they were gone. Daddy rented a few movies from the movie box at the grocery store. I'll probably take them back tomorrow, I need a few things anyways.

We watched a movie, but I kept falling asleep. It was really nice snuggling up with him on the couch like we used too. I'm so scared to go to sleep because I can't stop thinking about all the pain I'm going to have when I wake up. Trying to actually get up is the worst.

Oh yeah, and my PC Doc (Dr. Hohl), said that I have been suffering with this for at least 2 years, probably longer.

Oh my, I am hallucinating bad. I need to go lay down!
