Dental Updates

The girls went to the dentist this morning.

They told me that Seneca has nice spacing with her teeth and her teeth will be nice as they fall out and new ones come in because there is enough room for them all. They also said there was no tartar and her teeth were really clean! However, she has 8 cavities in between her molars that, after what insurance will cover, are still going to cost us $45 each, so about $360 all together! She was crying. So are we. We can't afford to do any of her fillings right now.

Big S only had one cavity in a molar that is underneath a filling she already had previously. It's a tooth that will come out in the next few years anyways, so they said unless it starts bothering her they will just wait for it to come out on it's own. As for the rest of her teeth, she had a bit of tartar buildup and some serious crowding. She is also congenitally missing tooth number 12. She is being referred out to another type of dental practitioner, I forgot the title, to discuss when she will need braces and if she will need surgery to space her upper palate. Her appointment is scheduled for July 21st.

I had two of my molars pulled out on Friday, the 10th. My gums are still healing. Painful.
