Daddy went to the store for the essentials (including the diapers we ran out of over night) bright and early.
Then he went out to breakfast with Grandpa Eric.
Together, they went to the Auto Auction but neither of them bought anything. Although they said a stranger that was there bought a running Motor Home for only $25. Apparently the bidding on it went backwards from $100 because there were satanic pentagrams painted all over it or something.
Then Daddy came home and we took Johnny to Olan Mills for his first professional portraits. I cheated and squeezed him into his preemie clothes. The photographer sucked and most of the pictures were awful. Which is good because it probably saved us a bunch of money. Everyone knows I am sucker for pictures. I was really disappointed because I was expecting a LOT better from an Olan Mills studio. I will be expressing my dismay to the company as well. The portraits should be available online soon and when they are I'll try to figure out how to share them.
We came home and asked my Mom to watch the kids while we used our gift card that Grandpa Eric got us for Christmas to Claim Jumpers restaurant.
Wow. That was the best food and service I've had in a long time. It was just all-around a wonderful night out. I was extremely impressed. I would absolutely LOVE to visit Claim Jumpers for a great meal again in the very near future!
And if you get a chance to get to one, do! For my mid-western US kin, there are some locations in IL. YUM~!
I think that just about covers our Saturday.
