My Husband Once Said...

My husband once said that babies and toddlers remind him of drunks.

The way they wobble and their speech is slurred and how they wander around seemingly aimless. I laugh at that because it's true.

I was looking at a picture of my 12 month old son just now and started laughing. He is laying in his playpen, "passed-out", with an empty bottle lying next to him. And it reminded me of something, I had a bit of de-ja-vu of sorts.

Then it came to me!

My ex-husband.
Major drunk.
I found him like that many of nights.

He was an extreme eyesore though, nothing like my little angel baby.

My ex would usually have many empty beer bottles surrounding him.

I couldn't help but laugh because it reminded me of my husband, John, saying that babies are like drunks.

It's such an interesting concept!
