Swearing Off

We've finally done it. Last week was the final straw. It's been building and a topic of discussion for years, but now it has finally been decided. We're swearing off WalMart for good. After horrible experience after horrible experience, we just can't handle any more. Not to mention all they sell is CRAP! The Customer Service, if you DARE call it that, gets worse by the day. Their average customer looks more dumb by the minute. There must be something about that place that makes people brain dead, crave bad foods, and think that trashy clothes look good. Not that it matters, but what happened last week was this: We shopped forever, because that's how long it takes to get from one end of that mass to the other, then we looked for a line as each one closed as we approached, as if we had cooties. THREE lanes in a row. The only lanes left open were 2 regular and one express. We got in line and before we had even moved up an inch, the lines were wrapped around the isles. Will they bother to open more lines? Of course not! My husband approached the manager, to which his response was "Well, we're in the middle of a shift change right now, and corporate laid off a bunch of people last week, so blame corporate." Apparently it's common WalMart practice to change shifts in the middle of peak shopping hours and not even check to see if the next shift shows up before letting the first shift leave. We're so done. We're never going to plan a trip to WalMart ever again. More than likely, we'll avoid it like the plague.

I had a nightmare last night that I had left the house for groceries and ended up at WalMart by habit. I was already inside loading up my cart with NON-GROCERY items when I realized the mistake I made. I was ready to walk out, when I realized I was having a bad vision and that I was actually in Target and everything was okay. Then I woke up wanting to go shopping at Target! Heh.
