Trunk or Treat

One of my most favorite ways to celebrate Halloween is a good Trunk-or-Treat event. It's so much fun and so much quicker than door to door. Everyone has their trunk decorated, you know they're all expecting you, and you don't have to walk for miles! The kids always make out with a pretty good amount of candy and great time! Plus they're usually held on different nights, other than Halloween, which means you can take your kids Trick-or-Treating, or Trunk-or-Treating rather, a few times during Halloween week! For example tonight I took the girls to a k-12 Charter School holding a Trunk-or-Treat event earlier this evening! Tomorrow there is another Trunk-or-Treat event at the Roman Catholic church and that one will also be an entire Fall Festival with rides and games and all! There is yet another Trunk-or-Treat event Halloween night. Actually there's a few of them Halloween night, but we will only have time for one. So my kids get to Trunk-or-Treat THREE time this year! They love it! They also get to wear different costumes to each event if they want too. For example, my oldest plans to be a Vampire on Halloween, but tonight she was a devil! My youngest LOVES her scary skeleton costume, so she probably won't want to change her costume any other night. She was so excited that people wouldn't recognize her and begged me to make sure her hair was hidden and the pink colors on her shoes were hidden too. She wanted everyone to think she was a boy skeleton. She also said she planned to scare the eyeballs out of everyone, although when I talked to her about it, she explained that "it would just be for pretend, because you can't do that for reals!" She's so clever. Click on the pictures to see them enlarged. They are so cool. Something else neat is how my puppy's eyes glow green in the photos!
