This Is SO Embarrassing!

I have to do another 24 hour urine collection and bring it with me to my appointment tomorrow

You're given a large container that also expands and told to start in the morning with a strong urine, like one you would take your early pregnancy test with. What you do is you write down that time, but you don't collect your urine that first time, you just go and right down the time. That's your start time for the collection even though you don't collect it. Then you start your collection. They told me every single drop of urine after that is collected until I have my first morning urine the following morning. For some reason they like you to end the collection with your recent most "potent" urine.

I started my collection test at 6:45 AM yesterday. It's only 3 AM now. I woke up at 2:40 and had to go. They give you a little "toilet hat" to pee in to collect it to pour into to the collection container. So I pee in the hat and realize I've peed a lot, so I should pour and then finish. So I go to get the hat and see I almost over-flowed it. It measured 32 oz. 40 oz. is the top measuring line in the hat they gave me. So I poured it into the collection container and it kept popping at me as I was pouring. I kept having to pour slower and slower. Some of it dribbled to the side but lay resting on the container as I finished. I put the lid on and the container looked close to full, but I am a creative person, so I thought I'd try again. Mind you, I still have to pee more too. So I poured the over-spill that lay on the side of the collection container into the hat and I unscrewed the lid to try to pour the rest of that hat contents back into the container it jumped out of moments earlier. When I opened the lid the darn thing popped again and out jumps more pee! AHH! I literally did just that as well.

Now when I woke up at 2:39 AM to head for the refrigerator to get this container so I could pee, I thought I was going to collapse. My bladder has never hurt or felt so heavy in my life. I still had to pee! I already had to call the last pee that popped out a "loss". I screwed the lid back on tight, poured it off the edge of the container and washed it away. Container full, back to the fridge it goes. I clean my hat and put it back on the toilet and try to finish my midnight pee. I feel like the hat is getting full again, so I hold my pee again. I look. Another 32 oz. WOW! No way! And i still have to pee more! So I got to the kitchen and get a freezer baggie and plastic container with lid. All I am thinking is they told me they want EVERY SINGLE DROP and here I've already lost about 6-8 oz. AND my container is full and I haven't collected their all important most recent most potent urine sample yet. I definitely don't want to have to do this all over again! So I lined this plastic container with the freezer baggie and poured my hat in. Looks like the baggie is holding it, yeah! I forgot to label anything on the baggie and I'm not writing on the container -oops! Okay masking tape should handle that. I still have to pee! I pee another 8 oz. and pour it into the newly created container too. I snap the lid in place over the baggie and store it in the fridge.

This is so embarrassing! I don't want to have to do it all over again. Why don't they make those containers big enough!? Am I doing the right thing? What would you do??
