Possibly Placed Puppies

Say that 10 times fast!

I've got a good number of responses on the puppies so far. I'm sure more will come too, which is good. Deciding to take a puppy is a really big decision. I bet a few people will back out.

Right now I'm making notes of the people I've talked to and who I want to have the puppy(s).

So far this is what I've got:
Shauna- Black Female (the towel chewer). PICKED UP WEDNESDAY
Meghan- White Male.
Terri- Tan Female (the "runt" -PICKED UP MONDAY).
Chrissy- White Male
Judy- Black Female

ABOUT THE LIST:
If your name is on the list and you no longer want to be considered for a puppy, please email me ASAP so that I may consider someone else. Unless your name and puppy say "RESERVED", you are being strongly considered but have not officially been chosen. If your name is not on the list, it doesn't mean you won't get a puppy, it just means that you aren't currently being considered.

ABOUT THE PUPPIES:
They are being weaned from Mama and are doing very well in the transition. I serve them Pedigree dry dog food (sometimes we add some water to soften it for them). They have been drinking water from the Horizon Falls water store on Horizon Ridge Pkwy, we don't give them the tap water. It's suggested not to change puppies diets if you want to avoid upset stomachs, etc. So that's why I am letting you know their foods and drinks. They might not be able to tolerate other food or tap water yet. If you would like to pick up the puppy sooner, we can discuss that. I know they should nurse for 6 weeks which is 12/24/07, but they are doing very well with food now too. The puppies BIRTH DATE was November 12, 2007. They were born in the early morning hours of that Monday, around 3 AM I think.

ABOUT US / WHY WE'RE DOING THIS QUICKLY AND WITH LITTLE COMMUNICATION:
I just gave birth by emergency c-section on Dec. 7 to my preemie baby
boy. He's still in the hospital. He was in the level III NICU and was
moved to Level II "Special Care" a few days ago. We're hoping he can
come home soon. He's doing very well. I need to get rid of these
puppies though so that my house can be cleaned and not have to worry
about trying to housebreak a litter of pups we can't keep. We live in
an apartment, so we can't have more than 2, and my one (the Mama) is
enough for me for right now with the baby coming home shortly!

We have a very busy schedule these days with Christmas around the
corner. I just got released from the hospital from over a month's
stay (I developed preeclampsia and gestational diabetes during my
pregnancy). Our son is in the Special Care nursery and we try to
spend as much time with him as we can, but we also have other children and obligations to attend to including him!

For all these reasons, I'm really hoping to be able to have someone
say "I want a puppy and I promise to pick it up on Sunday or Monday". I
only have one person who has offered me that so far. I know it's
asking a lot, but I really don't have the time to be much more
accommodating, although I am trying.

IF YOU DON'T GET ONE OF OUR PUPPIES:
The NVSPCA is a no-kill animal shelter located off Dewey near Decatur and Russell and they have dogs around $50-$150 to adopt there. The BIGGER the dog, the cheaper. The more petite, the more expensive. Someone had emailed that the shelters were charging $400 for a dog. I have never heard of that much money from a shelter. We did get a purebred Papillon from the NVSPCA a few months ago for my husband's mother and we paid $150 for her and she was the HIGHEST PRICED dog at the entire shelter that day, and they have TONS of dogs!
