Take it Easy

Slow Ride? I hope not! Last update I got a few hours ago was that Johnny lost about 20 grams. I think they said he weighed 3 lbs. and 9 oz. Still above his birth weight, but I was praying for a much more steady gain, without any back-steps. At least he's healthy! But dang it I want him to come home to his family! Poor little guy spending so much time without us, without hearing our voices, etc. Ohh That's an idea, I could record us talking to him on a micro-cassette recorder and have the nurses keep playing it for him when he's not getting attention from them during certain times. I'll have to run that one by my husband!

Anyways. When he gets to 4 lbs. then he can come out of the isolette and then, unless the rules are different at this hospital, we should be allowed to dress him in his clothes! That would be fun!

As for me, I'm in a lot of pain. I'm in more pain than I think I'm supposed to be in. I'm hoping there's nothing wrong, but I'm guessing something probably is. My stomach is really swelling bad and I've had a few other odd symptoms as well. I'm also about out of drugs, and not sure what's going to happen with that either.

You know, I still haven't written Johnny's "Birth Story". That's something I should do very soon too. It's just that it will be so long and I haven't felt like I have that much time to devote to one project yet.
