The Surprise...

I was expecting it to be more of a surprise.
Unfortunately, I must have ticked off some witch that cursed me for my life.  Apparently someone or some thing does not think John nor I deserve to have an air conditioned vehicle!

I went van shopping the other night with the girls.
I found a van that is a make/ model I've had my heart/ eyes on for quite some time now.
It's a 1992 Toyota Previa LE Altrac.
The A/C was blowing ice cold and the vehicle just looked awesome!
It sounds nice, it drives nice, etc.
There's no CD player and a few of the speakers are blown and sound like crud, but everything else is pretty nice!

I fell in love with it and I got a good price on it.
As is.
No warranty.
No refunds, no exchanges.

Okay, so the next day the air works after flipping the switches around a bit.
Then after driving a while, it stops blowing cold air.
The rear A/C for the kids in the back continues to blow cold air.
Up front though, sometimes it blows cold, sometimes hot, sometimes nothing?!?!
There's only one compressor so it must be good if the rear air continues to be cold.
I brought it in to the salesman today to look at it even though I bought it "As is.", he reminded me that he's no mechanic.
I did sign paperwork that I acknowledge that I am responsible for any and all needed repairs.
His suggestion was that it is probably an inexpensive fan or something broke with the switches.
I just hope it's something inexpensive and that I don't get screwed.
I haven't decided where to take it yet.
I'm thinking a Toyota dealership might be a good bet.

The kids love it, they want me to take them places non stop!
It's a 4 cyl. and gets good gas mileage.
I love the way it drives.
Oh here's another strange thing about the front A/C, it seems to blow harder and colder at night in the front (when it decides to work).

It has 4 bucket seats, and one bench-like seat in the rear.
The rear "bench" seat is two parts and it can lay down to be a bed or it can fold up to the sides of the van to allow for a lot more cargo space.
They aren't against the back hatch either, so we have a decent amount of trunk space without making any maneuvers.
The windows aren't tinted and that's something I am seriously considering having done.
Also, if it's not too expensive I'd like to have it fixed so that the interior lights automatically shut off after the vehicle has been turned off for a few minutes and I would also like the headlights to automatically come on at night because I forgot to turn them on tonight until I had gotten about 6 blocks away!
The two bucket seats behind the front seats can rotate.
They can sit "normal" or they can be turned back-to-back against the front seats.
The kids think that's really cool too and they have them backwards, of course!
The one behind the driver's seat is a little strange though.  I think the recline on it is broke, the back of it leans depending on how much pressure you put on it.
Kind if a pain when I'm driving and someone is sitting there and leans back or bounces or something.

Oh and with my short legs, big boobs, and tummy bulge, I can't comfortably fit the seatbelt on me.
So I've been driving without wearing my seatbelt.
I hear there are seatbelt extenders out there, so that is something else I will have to get.

Well, that's the most I can think of for now.
