School is starting soon

School starts next Monday, the 25th. Lil S will begin half-day Kindergarten. Big S is going into 2nd grade. Yesterday we went and got all the needed school supplies. They are both really excited. Big S has a black & hot pink colored Hello Kitty backpack from Target, but looks like one from Sanrio. Lil S has a pink backpack with brown, green, and blue polkadots from Gymboree. I'll have to get pictures soon. Right now their backpacks are stuffed full of school supplies.

I had a dentist appointment today. I got my teeth cleaned. Feels good. I have a few cavities and also need a root canal.

I had an appointment with my new Endocrinologist on Tuesday. She seemed worried the tumor may be back and said my white blood cell count was elevated, my TSH was elevated, my platelets were high, and that I was iron deficient (anemia). She wanted me to get back with my primary care DR about the anemia and she prescribed a few more medications, including insulin (Genovia) to take at bedtime in addition to the slew of medications I'm already taking.

I called to get an appointment with my primary care DR the next day and was offered a same-day appointment yesterday. She drew blood on me too and said that she wasn't concerned about my numbers because she thinks it's the steroid that I'm on that is causing the numbers to rise. She prescribed two things for me to help with the iron deficiency (I haven't got them filled yet) and she wants to see me back once I am weened off of the steroid.

I hope she is right.

Our insurance company is being retarded so Lil S' speech therapy is being put off. They haven't paid any of the clinics' claims and so they are refusing to continue providing services to her until they are paid.

We got yet another dog. His name is Buster Banks and he is a Jack Russell Terrier. He's a really good dog and lots of fun! I adore him the same I adore Wiggles. He is almost the same size as wiggles, taller, but not as long. Too big to get lost I hope and he is so attached to the kids I don't think he would ever leave us. A few days ago Big S and I were leaving and Lil S had him outside on a long leash and he came to my drivers' side of the van and jumped up and hung on by the window! He jumps higher than Roxy could. He's amazingly strong. He cries more than Lil J though I think. Every time the girls are away he whines and paces and jumps on doors and whines and whines and whines.

More news and pics later. I need a nap for now.
