Wow! More News!

Lil J has been moving himself into a sitting position from laying down by propping himself up and supporting himself with a steady arm, planting his hand firmly as a base. He's been doing this for a long while now. The last few days or so he's gotten better with his balance and has begun to sit up momentarily without supporting himself, still getting into a sitting position on his own as well. Today, this morning actually, he really balanced sitting up for as long as he wanted to. He did this all day whenever he wanted to sit up, he sat up for as long as he wanted to, fully balancing himself. I marked down for today's date that Lil J sits alone.

Late this afternoon, as Lil J sat in his crib, he decided he wanted to stand up. Lil J pulled himself up to a standing position as he held on to the top of his crib. He stood there for about a minute before his little legs buckled beneath him. He did it a few times throughout the evening and night.

Two milestones in one day! Way to go Lil J!

I am pathetic for not getting any of this on video or pics, but you can bet that I will soon. Today was a really busy day for me!

Lil S is enrolled in Gymnastics and is loving it! She's gone two weeks so far. I also need to get pictures of her in her gym suit.

Big S is waiting for Jump Rope tryouts at school. She wants to be on the Jump Rope team this year. She wanted to do it last year, but we didn't have the transportation for her to be able to go to the meets. Now we do, yeah!

The last few days "Gramma oh-shit" and I have been going places with Lil J while the girls are in school. Big S goes all school day, but Lil S doesn't leave until just after noon. That leaves us about 3 hours. Lil J doesn't even last that long though before he gets crabby. He does not like to go any where! He'd rather just chill at home.

Today, Gramma Diana (aka Gramma oh-shit), Lil J, and I went to Babies R Us to shop for my niece's baby shower on Monday, September 1st. She's having a boy, due late November, her first child. We were going to get her the changing table she had on her registry. When we first got to the store I printed out her registry after choosing to only print items available for purchase. We found the changing table and told the associate that we wanted to purchase it and he dilly-dallied around for quite a bit and then retreated back to his desk just sitting there doing nothing! So my mom (Gramma Diana) approached him and asked him about the changing table we wanted to buy and he looks up at her and says "Oh, sorry but we don't have that one in stock." My mom said "Well we printed items available for purchase so why isn't it available?" He just shook his head at her and made a confused face as he shied away. So we ended up picking out a few this & thats (don't want to give up the gifts before the shower incase she reads). We got nice things though. I also grabbed some clearance items for my little man, I think I picked up 5 outfits (Carter's) for Lil J for under $25 total!

Monday I traded up my cell phone to the LG Rumor. I got mine in blue. John's is grey and Mom got a black & red Samsung that is really cool. I figured out how to use the bluetooth to pair my MacBook and my LG Rumor. The manual for my phone specifically says about 3 times that I can send information to my phone from computer but that I cannot send information from my phone to my computer. Somehow I managed to tell my computer to get the images from my phone. But I can't seem to transfer images from my computer to my phone. Maybe I read the manual wrong twice. Strange. John and I were unable to pair a bluetooth connection between our Rumor phones. I don't know why? My computer wouldn't recognize his phone either. We also got Cricket for our laptops, but my Cricket doesn't work at home! Luckily I have a few open connections at home anyways, but regardless, it should work from here.

I figured out sometime last week how to burn my mp3s to CD keeping them in mp3 format. My CD player in the van plays the mp3s so I can take more music with me. I love that! It also has a connection for an iPod, which I don't own yet, but want to soon. Big S wants one too, but she just wants the basic one, I want the big kahuna!

I need to get a cool case for my MacBook soon too, something I can also bring along my Cricket, mouse, and headphones with. I know, I want I want I want.

I'm slowly being weened off of Dexamethasone, which is a very strong steroid, and I am feeling more and more pain and fatigue every day. I decided since it's right behind our apartment where the bus drops off the kids that I would allow Big S and Lil S to walk to the apartment from the bus stop together after school. Well that was all squashed today. Big S came home saying that the bus driver told her to come get me because she can't let Lil S off the bus unless Mom or Dad is there. Darn. I mean, it's a good policy, and I respect it, but I think I should be able to have a say about my own children too. Oh well.

Big S was supposed to spend last weekend with the MF but some stranger called me and gave me some BS line about him not being able to get her or visit with her and I haven't heard from him for over 2 weeks now.

Here are some pics I took with my new cell phone and transfered to my MacBook:

I'm sure there is probably more news that I am forgetting, there is so much going on lately!

OH here's some not-so-good news I left out the last few weeks. John's brother, Bob, is borrowing our Blazer. I got new tires and wheels on the van a few weeks ago. It rides nicer now. I don't think it would do very well on a long trip though, it doesn't have much power, but it's a great around-towner. Lil S got a Hello Kitty car seat cover for the seat she rides in from someone on Freecycle here locally.

When I typed "around-towner" it reminded me of a T-shirt I saw the other day. I might have already mentioned this in another post, I can't remember, but this lady I saw was wearing a shirt that said "My Giveadarner is Broken" and I thought that was really cute.

Okay, well that's all I can conjure up for now. Hope that tides you over until the next post, hopefully with pics & videos of Johnny and his new milestones!
