Jana's baby boy, Preston has been circumcised and the procedure reportedly went well. He is already sleeping through the night. I haven't visited him again since his day of birth, but I hear that he continues to be the perfect angel baby! Lucky for Mommy Jana. My Big S was my perfect angel baby. Lil S was HOE ("Hell On Earth") with colic, it's a miracle we survived her first 6 months but she was just so beautiful even when she was screaming her head off! Lil J doesn't have colic, but he, like Lil S, is too very needy and clingy.
Grandma Diana paid for Big S to attend an after-school craft workshop Thursday and she "made" a hat and scarf and something else. I didn't get a picture yet.
Buster is no longer with us. He had a stroke and more problems followed and he passed last week. I'm very sore about it and don't wish to speak of it any more. Wiggles is probably going to be our only pet for a very long time. I don't know if I ever mentioned that our hamster Chewy died quite some time ago. My children have seen far too many pets die and we had a deaf ferret that I let someone else adopt and we had a boston terrier we left behind to another family back in Kansas as well. We can't take any more "animal heartache".
December 23rd will be Wiggles 2nd birthday and we plan to keep her safe and healthy. She's up-to-date on her vaccinations, spayed (after having one litter she was pregnant with when we got her) and in pretty good health considering she's an inbreed. Her right front leg is slightly longer than the left. She does those "reverse sneezes" that look like an asthma attack but are considered harmless. She's not friendly with other dogs and she's so scared of people that she instantly tries to scare everyone who doesn't live here with the exception of children. She will completely submit herself to any child no matter what they do to her. She has NEVER bitten any of us or even threatened too. She's never shown her teeth to us except for a happy smile or a playful and extremely gentle grin. I hope one day that she become more trusting of guests to our home and more friendly with familiar faces, and that she can get over her need for dominance of other dogs. She demands to be the alpha with other dogs, and she's put every last one in their place too. Ha. A few days ago, poor Wiggles, Johnny was tugging on her ear and then BIT her ear while pulling on it and she just ducked her head and cried and whined and whimpered. I almost cried with her. She's also very emotionally in-tune and sensitive. One time she had done something wrong, oh yeah she ran out of the house without a leach on, so I went after her and she ran from me! So when I finally catch up to her, she rolls over on her back in innocents submitting to me, and as I reached to lift her up and carry her home she starts screaming "Ike ike ike ike" (like someone was beating her!), it was so embarrassing, neighbors probably thought I was torturing her and I hadn't even touched her yet. Then when he got back to the house I let her down inside after the front door was closed and ran for her crate but it was closed, so I went over to open it for her and she ran for the kids' room, so I opened the crate and went to get her and somehow I ended chasing her through the house (at 3 AM) and she starts crying in fear of me. It's so cute and sad at the same time. I feel bad for her, but then it's kind of funny. When she gets nervous she leaks too. She's had some incontinence issues when she gets nervous. Like if you ask her what she did, the word "do" tends to trigger it too. Today I came home from my appointment all upset because as I was pulling into the road to my apartments' gates, some idiot almost hit me and scared the hell out of me then I looked at him screaming at me (he was required to yield to me before he tried to make a left turn and almost hit me head on). I was fuming that he was treating me like it was my fault. I, not them, would have been injured or killed if they would have hit me. Anyways I came in to tell John and Wiggles was laying on the bed with her tail on my Macbook and when she got nervous at my tone and adrenaline, she started peeing on my Macbook and my bed! AHH! She can't help it, it's so frustrating. Luckily my Macbook is okay, and so is my bed... now.
Grandma Diana and I got the girls an early Christmas present which I haven't got a picture of yet. I bought some sheet straps to hold their sheets on their mattresses because the keep popping off and with their bunk-bed it's a pain in the "arse" to put fitted sheets on their mattresses. Grandma Diana bought them these oh-so-cute sheet sets and matching fleece "throws". Princess theme. The fitted sheets are pink with polka-dots and the flat sheets and pillowcases have princess crowns on them. I'll get pictures eventually. The girls were so excited and are thanking Grandma like crazy for them! Hopefully I won't have to put another sheet on a mattress in there for a while.
