We made it to church and even stayed after services. We donated both of our baby swings and one baby walker to the church. They need newer stuff for their nursery, there are lots of members that are new mommies, and we're also donating new and gently used things for needy families. I will probably donate some more things shortly too. But we're definitely keeping the infant to toddler rocker from Carrie!
After Sunday services they ordered pizza and put the football games on the big screens while everyone put up and decorated the Christmas trees and hung lights. I wasn't much help but I tried to help unpack ornaments and take some pictures.
When Big S got home that evening we put up and decorated our own Christmas tree. Lil S got to top the tree with a star.
Oh, for those wondering about my Cardiology follow-up, the appointment was rescheduled for December 11th. I am currently uninsured, so I hope I will still be seen. The children's dentist appointment was also cancelled because of insurance.
Jana's sweet baby boy, Preston (I don't know the middle name) Bainum was born 9:22 AM, December 3, 2008. He was 6 lbs. 14 oz. and 19 1/2 inches! Long and skinny with big feet, just like our Johnny! He has a lot of hair, considering most babies in our family have been born bald. His hair is dark. He is very alert and healthy! He sounds adorable and only cried (while I was there) when his diaper was being changed, I think it's because he was cold. Once he was bundled up again he was fine. He's gorgeous and just as sweet as can be. Congratulations to Jana, and Happy Birthday to Preston!
