Update "Shorts"

Sorry for the lack of posts. There is TONS going on here. Mostly some stuff that will turn into legal issues in short order and are better left out of the public for the time being. So here's a rundown of somethings that are current that I may or may not have mentioned yet. In no particular order... (Leave a comment for more information on any particular listing.)

•Big S is back on A & B Honor Roll at school.

•Lil S is advancing to "Junior Pre-Team" in her gymnastics class.

•We've got fish. First we got Max and Ruby (rainbow tetras). Ruby died shortly after purchase. We went back to the store and got an assortment of fish. Sunny, Wall-E, Pimple, and Honkey. Pimple died. Wall-E started eating him. Max died. Wall-E started eating him. We're down to 3 fish. Sunny, Honkey, and Wall-E.

•The puppy we attempted to rescue, Sissy, didn't survive. She just never got better and died last Sunday night. I think she had Distemper. It was very heartbreaking. She was a good girl.

•We got another dog on a "trial" to see if he would fit-in with us, but John and I didn't feel like it would work out so after two nights we brought him back. His name was Brodie. Well, his name was Odie and we changed it to Brodie while he was with us.

•I bought him a collar and leash but kept them, so Wiggles has a new set. I like this collar better on Wiggles than her other one. It looks better, but I'm not sure if it's more comfortable for her or not. Time will tell.

•I am teaching the girls how to make papier-mâché eggs (filled with candy) for Easter gifts. Mine came out good, Lil S made a good one, Big S failed but will try again this weekend. I'm going to try to make some when they're not around and hide them for the Easter egg hunt as a surprise!

•John will be gone Saturday through Wednesday visiting his daughter, friends, and family in MO. There's a pretty good chance he's getting into a custody battle over his oldest daughter and even a slim chance that she might end up here with me being one of her custodial parents. That's what I was talking about in the beginning that I don't think is a good idea to go into a lot of details about right now.

•Wiggles is again our only dog, and she's pretty happy at the moment. As long as she gets to go to the dog park often. That place really makes her so happy, it's indescribable! Brings me so much joy to see my doggy happy. I love her smile!

•Someone very generous has given me some more clothes for Johnny and he has quite a few nice sets and clothing for summer. I'm really excited and extremely relieved. Clothes are so expensive and you never know how long they will fit!

•John and I were so sick yesterday that it felt like the world was going to end. We stayed in bed most of the afternoon and evening and of course all through the night just being sick together, no TV, nothing. It was miserable. At least we have each other, right? lol

•In trying like hell to get some medical care for my Anxiety, which is so bad lately, I've been trying to get help from the State's mental health facility, Rawson-Neal. In applying financial assistance there, they are asking me to apply for all types of State programs, most of which I don't even think I will qualify for, but you never know. It's a little embarrassing, but hopefully worth it.

•Then I have some issues with some of my friends. Those are obviously better left private for the time being.

Well, John is flying out very early in the morning so we're going to spend some family time together and some private time together before his departure. Time to go make popcorn for the movie!
