Child/Parent/Teacher Meeting

Today we're going in for our child/parent/teacher meeting for my oldest daughter. She's really excited because she doesn't have to ride the bus home today and because she loves to watch me and my husband interact with her teachers. I don't know why, but it's always fascinated her. She keeps asking me to convince her teacher and school office to change her last name to mine. Her teacher keeps telling her she can't do anything until she gets a letter from the office. The office can't give a letter for that unless they get one from Court. I was going to try to change her last name in Court, but bio-donor said he'd fight me on it, so I haven't done anything with it. Now that she's met him, she doesn't just want her name changed, she wants him completely removed from her birth certificate and her life. So I don't see any point in fighting over a name change right now. She wants to wait until she's old enough that she be adopted, even if it is an adult adoption. I think that's cool because that will be even more special and mean more to her and my husband, her Daddy.

Oh I am not feeling well, I wonder if I have time for a nap!?
