Okay, So.. A Couple of Things..

I think I forgot to mention this in my last post. When I was at Lil S' Valentine's Day party, one of the other moms was telling me how cute she was and that she has the cutest little voice.

Also a few days ago at her gym class one of the dads there was telling me that she is so adorable!

I love it.

When I told her about the other kid's mommy saying her voice was cute, Big S was with us and she agreed and also told her that she does has a super cute voice.

I especially love the sisterly love and the non-jealousness! My Big girl is the biggest sweetheart when she wants to be.

Speaking of Big S now... Her good friend, Rachel, from her Kindergarten class also goes to our church and in fact her mommy and daddy are Youth Pastors. Well her mommy and I have made friends as well through church and our girls and she plans to take me out to lunch, maybe Tuesday, to Sweet Tomatoes. This may sound strange, but I've never been there. So it will be a first for me! Also we've made plans to allow Big S to go over to her house on Wednesdays after school until church. If I'm not going Wednesday night then she'll bring her home on the way and if I do go then she can check her into Children's Ministries for me and I can get her when it's over. This will be good for the girls, both of them. Also, they just got a new swimming pool last year with a slide and everything, and Big S is really excited about that. I don't know how we'll work it come summer, but I bet we can figure something out. Good stuff!

Moving on.. Saturday was very busy, in fact the whole weekend was more eventful than most and for all of us but Daddy it isn't over yet either. Saturday morning we woke up early to take Lil S to make up a missed gym class. Most of the classes cost the same and are interchangeable so she wanted to take a ballet class to try (evaluation classes usually cost $12). Unfortunately for her age group they have combination ballet/tap classes and those are on a different day of the week at a different time and she was ready to get busy! So there was an advanced Kindergarten Gym class about to start (K-2 or Kindergarten Gym-2). I saw her regular gym teacher and asked if it was going to be too hard for her and she said "No..." She continued to explain to me that the group my girl is in is advanced more than the advanced class and that she teaches them more because the whole group is great and can do it. Cool. Big S and I went out to lunch at Bob's Eastside Deli while she was in class. And after the class Lil S told me it wasn't as fun as her other class and she knew more than those kids and they were all complaining that she could already do those things, haha. Cute.

When we came home Daddy & Big S needed some new shirts so we went to Saver's to donate some old clothes and get coupons. We looked around but nothing looked good. So we went to Target and we found a few shirts, pants, and a skort for Big S but nothing for Daddy. So we dropped Big S off at home and Daddy and I went to K-Mart where we found some tie & shirt sets in his size for an okay price. They hella (hell of) jack up prices for Big Men's there, but at least they have them!

We came back home and got the girls and we all went out to Denny's for a Valentine's dinner. The kids eat free on Saturdays from 4PM-10PM so it seemed like such a waste not to bring them too. Something very awkward happened there. They serve something there, I think they are called Pancake Balls, they're like hush puppies. John ordered some and the kids were begging for them so he said that they were only for him. Lil S says, "Well what about Mommy?" And I, without even thinking said "I don't think Daddy would mind if I put his Balls in my mouth." Can you believe it?! Oh boy! I felt so weird after that. The messed up part was that it was totally innocent, really, and I wanted to laugh about it the entire time we were in there and I was fighting back because I didn't want people to think I was that awful. Shame on me.

We stopped by Wendy's on the way home to grab a bite to eat for my mom who stayed home with Lil J.

After relaxing a bit we started cleaning the house into the wee hours of the night and got the living room and dining room looking a lot better. It had been unattended to for a few weeks. Or were it months? Anyways, it was bad. All better. The living room looks great, still needs dusted, painted, and there are mysterious carpet stains (purple, of all colors). Our Christmas party. I think that was the last time it was presentable, I remember now.

That made Daddy very tired. So tired, in fact, that I couldn't wake him up in the morning for church! I brought the girls without him. He and grandma and Lil J stayed home all napping.

After church I mingled a bit because I have been bad and had not been in quite a long time. I also recorded a message for the Pastor's Wife, Children Ministries Leader for her upcoming baby shower (she's due in April with a boy). I said "Congratulations, Michelle! And I hope you have an easy birth!" I was a little shy and that's what came out of my mouth. Well, my friend Shawna, who was filming (also Rachel's mom that I wrote about earlier in this post), said "I think you're the first person to say anything about the birth." I said, "Well, that's the hardest part, raising them is cake compared to that!" Hehe heh. I hope she likes it. It's going to be a compilation of all her women friends giving her warm wishes, advice, etc. I figured since she already has one boy (I think he's 4 or 5) she needs good wishes, not so much advice.

Then as I was driving home, my van did not feel like it was running so well and I thought about the massive spot under it when I backed out of my carport earlier, and I decided more than likely it needed transmission fluid. I'm usually dead-on right about those things so I went to go buy some and figured I'd have John check it and do it later. I thought Target sounded like a good stop because I could use my Target card. So I stopped at the little Pizza Hut inside there and got the girls some pizza and chocolate milk then we went to grab some transmission fluid (after browsing the dollar spot). On the way to the automotive we noticed they still had a lot of girls Valentine's shirts left over and 50% off! So we grabbed a few. I couldn't find any transmission fluid, so I got a big box of baby diapers and checked out. Then I went to Port of Subs and got me a lunch sandwich. The lady gave Big S a free drink and refused to give Lil S one. Rude. I couldn't make them share either because Big S has a Herpes cold sore on her lip from the MF's girlfriend kissing her ON THE LIPS and I am not joking. Afterwards I went to Panda Express and got some yummy Orange Chicken, Steamed Rice and Cream Cheese Wontons for Grandma & Daddy to chow on. Then we came home.

After we got done eating, our upstairs neighbor, Andrew knocked on our door and Lil S answered, without a thought. That won't be happening any more. He looked like he was about to cry and asked if we heard anything going on in his apartment today. We hadn't been home so I sent the kids to get Daddy and ask him. But Daddy & Grandma hadn't heard anything either and our Wiggles always barks and they don't remember her barking at anything while we were gone. However they both can sleep through a lot of noise if they want to. Very scary stuff. He said his gun case was broke into and all over the floor. He was really upset! No doubt. That just really sucks. We live in a very nice place and good neighborhood. It just shouldn't have happened here. Maybe it was something personal against him, someone he knew? Or maybe I am in denial because it just eats me up that people commit random acts against strangers like that. What if my mom and baby would have been home alone and it had been our apartment instead? So scary to even think about!

While he was waiting for the police to respond to his break in call, John and I went to get our hair cut. Both of us needed one. His looks great and he likes my cut too. I just got mine trimmed a little just to whack off the dead ends. She also tried out some frizz control/curl lift on my hair. For those who don't know, my hair is naturally curly and frizzes like crap if I don't baby it for hours, which I haven't felt up to doing in years! John really liked how it looked as it dried, so maybe he will buy me the $15 Matrix Curl-Lift stuff later? As we were waiting in line to pay, this ugly couple was in front of us and the woman was ordering a hair cut for the man. Finally the stylist says to her "And, are you getting a hair cut or style as well?" She, too, could have benefitted from one, but her snooty (fat as mine) butt says "Oh no!" "I have a stylist!" As she flips her hair, John and I just kind of looked at each other, holding back the laughter... As we walked out the door, John let me go first because he knows I get embarrassed, he said "Oh no! I have a stylist!" mocking her. heh heh As we were getting into the van he said to me, "She acts like she thinks she owns a hair stylist!" hahahahha! So funny.

When we got home Grandma (my mom) wanted to go out, so John took her out and drove the van to find out what it needed. I was right, transmission fluid, so he got some for me and took care of that. Yay! Oh and the police had finally showed up and were checking out our buddy's apartment. I haven't talked to him since though.

Alright then, that's all the update for now. That was my busy weekend!

BLOOPER!! I had to go back and edit this sentence in this post:
"After we got done eating our upstairs neighbor, Andrew knocked on our door...."
It looked like we were eating our neighbor... YUCK! haha
