This is Why I Blog

I blog because if I don't I won't remember what happened yesterday. Sometimes though, even blogging doesn't help.

For example I forgot to mention that during the Valentines Day party at school, Lil S' Teacher told me that Lil S' is going to be awarded Dragon of the Month this month on Wednesday, the 25th, at the school Awards Assembly thing. It's Lil S' first time so it's a big deal and very exciting.

Her Teacher told me that she had sent a notice home a few days prior. Well, needless to say, like me, my kids are not all that organized and Lil S not only never gave me the note, but didn't bother to tell me either! I would have missed it all together.

Which is exactly what happened around Christmastime when her class preformed Christmas songs at one the monthly assemblies and I never got the note and she never told me about it. I missed her very first school performance! I'm still upset about it too!

I also wanted to mention in this post that I ate at Chevy's Fresh Mex tonight with my husband and I tried something new that I am now totally in love with! It's called Carnitas and it is tender, stringy, marinated pork slow-roasted with fresh oranges, lemons, garlic, and fuego seasoning (according to the menu). Yum.
